Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary Lovey!!!

Two years today I said 'I do' with my best friend and love of my life.  

Kevin, I love you more today than I did two years ago and I know my love for you will only grow as I watch you love our baby girl.  We have such a fun adventure ahead of us and I know we will be kick-ass parents!

Dear Baby (32 weeks)

Dear Little Lady,

This past weekend your daddy and I went on our babymoon to Bermuda.  It was the last vacation we will take before your arrival and pretty much the only traveling we have done for just the two of us all year.  Oh boy did we really need this relaxing time alone.  We have been so caught up with all our obligations this summer and all the prep work for your arrival that we have hardly had time to breath.

We spent most of our vacation doing... nothing.  It was awesome.  We just laid on the beach and floated in the ocean.  Your dad drank his Cambridge Splashes while I sipped my virgin strawberry daiquiris... yummmm.  I even got my first prenatal massage!  Could you tell I was feeling more relaxed?  My sciatic nerve didn't bother me once on our whole trip!

Your daddy went fishing one morning and caught a 10 pound bone fish.  You should be very proud!  They are not easy to catch and that was a really big one.  Your daddy is so excited to teach you how to fish!      

I am pretty sure I fell even more in love with your daddy during this vacation.  Watching him rest his hand on my belly and talk to you just melts my heart.  He loves you so much.  I could not have fallen in love with a better man, I am so lucky.  I cannot even imagine how much my love for him will grow when he holds you for the first time.  Thinking about it already brings tears to my eyes.

Dear Little Lady,

I wanted to tell you a little about how awesome your dad is because he is simply the best.  I know he hoped he would have a boy first (mainly so that they could harass our daughter's boyfriends... typical) but he is really excited that you are a girl.  I think he is finally wrapping his head around the fact that a little princess will be quickly taking over his life.  I really hope you are a daddy's girl because I know Kev will just love that but if you like me better that's okay too :)  

There are many things he is looking forward to doing with you like taking you to baseball games and the driving range.  Your dad will definitely teach you all about sports and how to fly fish (something I have yet to learn).  I know he will also be really good at tea parties if that is more your style.  I keep wondering what type of girl you will be... a girly girl, a tomboy, maybe a little of both.  I know whatever type of girl you are your dad will love adventuring with you.    

I feel so lucky to have met your dad and fallen in love with him.  I love him sooooooo much!  He makes me laugh every day and takes such good care of me.  He is certainly the life of the party and is probably the nicest guy I know.  He is fiercely protective of those he loves and the best friend anyone could ask for.  I could not imagine my life without him.  Writing about how great he is gets me a little teary (pregnancy hormones or just lots of love?).  You are gonna be the luckiest little girl with him as your daddy and I know you will have him wrapped around your finger in no time.

to the Dads in my life...

Yesterday was Father's Day and I wanted to give a little shout out to all the Dads in my life...

Kevin - you are going to be the best, most loving and FUN dad ever.  Our little girl is so lucky.  I cannot wait to meet her with you for the very first time.  I am so blessed to be on this journey to parenthood with such an incredible man.  I love you!

Dad - I can't even write a couple sentences about how much you mean to me without getting teary.  You have been my biggest cheerleader, always believing in me.  I find it really hard to put into words just how much you (and mom) mean to me.  When I think about my family I can't help but smile because I am so blessed.  I have to most loving, most supportive and coolest Dad ever!  I cannot wait to watch you become a Grandpa to my little girl.  I love you so much!

Big Tom (my FIL) - Thank you so much for raising Kevin to be the man he is today.  I know he will be the best father because of you.  Our little girl is so lucky to have you as a Grandpa.  I love you!
